🦜 Today, on International Parrot Crisis Awareness Day, we shine a light on the heartbreaking reality facing parrots worldwide. These intelligent, social, and emotionally complex birds are in crisis—suffering from habitat destruction, illegal wildlife trade, and neglect in captivity.

Did you know?
• Over one-third of parrot species are threatened with extinction.
• The illegal pet trade rips thousands of parrots from the wild each year, leading to suffering and population decline.
• Many captive parrots face neglect and abandonment, as people underestimate their specialized needs, long lifespans, and complex emotional lives.

Parrots are not just pets; they are sentient beings that deserve respect, freedom, and protection. We must fight against illegal trafficking, promote ethical care for companion parrots, and protect their natural habitats.

How You Can Help:

These dogs have been dumped by people who were once their family, left to fend for themselves in harsh conditions. No food, no shelter, no love just loneliness and struggle.

Sugar gliders aren’t just adorable they can glide up to 150 feet in the wild! 🌿 These tiny marsupials have a special patagium (a stretchy membrane between their wrists and ankles) that lets them soar between trees like little flying squirrels. 🚀

In captivity, they love to jump, climb, and explore, so a tall cage with plenty of branches, ropes, and glider-safe toys is a must! 💕

This is what heartbreak looks like.

Miles away from warmth, from kindness, from love 💕 this is where these dogs have been abandoned. Left to starve, to shiver in the cold, to fight for survival in a place where no one was ever supposed to care.

But we care. And we know you do too.

We built these dog houses with our own hands, hoping to bring them even the smallest comfort. And when they were placed the dogs came desperate, exhausted, searching for something they’ve never had: safety.

Look around. There’s nothing here for them. No food. No shelter. No warmth. Just empty land and broken spirits.

But together, we can change that.

For every dog house we build, a life is saved. But there are still too many left in the cold, still too many with nowhere to go. We need your help to build more.

One of our handmade dog houses was placed in Bakersfield where so many dogs are dumped and immediately, so many abandoned dogs came searching for warmth, for hope. They have nothing, yet they still believe someone will come for them.

We need YOUR help. For every dog house we build, more lives are saved. But we can’t keep up with the growing number of abandoned dogs without support.
